Social and Behavioral Sciences Featured at Online Workshop

The Virtual Visioning Workshop hosted by the Center for Social and Behavioral Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites social and behavioral scientists to collaborate on an open source platform to assist in collecting data through mobile apps and from devices such as smart watches. Jim Regh, the director of the Health Care Engineering Systems Center on the Urbana-Champaign campus, will present an overview of ways open source technology can advance research, smart device features, and the particular challenges of using technology to study human behavior. Discussion sessions will focus on developing an effective platform and addressing the needs of social and behavioral researchers. Registration is free for this September 8 online event.
