A dashboard summarizing Illinois app usage is the university’s entry for this year’s Big 10 Academic Alliance Data Visualization Championship. Submitted by Cameron Schwing—a data analyst in the Office of the Chief Information Officer—the dashboard won the University of Illinois 2026 Data Viz competition.

The Rokwire platform earned the 2024 Innovative Technology Award from the National Association of Campus Card Users for or being “a unique technology-based solution” for building a comprehensive app at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Rokwire is setting up new Illinois app contributors for success and will be adding features to the next release in early 2024.
An app built on the Rokwire platform can be individualized for any campus and be “student centric” to “enhance engagement, wellness, and academic achievement.”
Rokwire will serve as a title sponsor of the 2023 annual conference of the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities. This year’s theme focuses on ways “campuses and cities embrace shared understandings and a commitment to fostering greater resilience.”
